Ice Carbon: A One-of-One Colour Configuration for the King of the Road

LARTE Design developed Ice Carbon as an individual customization option for the Cadillac Escalade-V ESV — the king of American SUVs, now carrying a colour engineered into the carbon itself rather than sprayed over a finished part.

The easy answer would have been to match the body paint to the new colour and let the whole car settle into one tone. LARTE Design went the other way. The factory pearl-white body stays exactly as it was — clean, untouched, a surface that already commands a room on its own — while Ice Carbon takes over every one of the fifteen ESTHETE components. White carries the volume of the car; the pale blue carries the detail. Neither one competes with the other, and the eye reads them as two decisions that were always meant to sit side by side.

Ice Carbon isn't a tint or a film added after the part is finished. Pigment and fibre are laid together during layup, before the carbon ever sees an autoclave, so the colour cures into the structure rather than sitting on top of it. There's no clear coat over a print, no finish that will age differently from the material underneath — the hood, the grille surround, the fender arches and the diffuser all carry the colour the same way, all the way through.

The forged wheels, developed in-house for the ESTHETE programme, stay in a dark, restrained finish on purpose. A lighter wheel would have pulled focus from the carbon and turned a two-part composition into three competing ones. Dark wheels anchor the car instead, so Ice Carbon carries the full visual weight from the hood to the diffuser.

Underneath the colour, this is the standard ESTHETE architecture for the Cadillac Escalade-V ESV: fifteen components in 100% dry carbon, Class-A surface finish, mounted entirely to the car's factory attachment points with no cutting or drilling. Parking sensors, driver-assistance systems and towing equipment work exactly as they did from the factory, and the supercharged 682-hp V8 stays completely stock.

A car built to be the king of the road now carries a colour engineered to match it — a configuration that exists nowhere else.
