My name is Mark, I live in Bulgaria. This BMW X5 in Manhattan Green is my everyday car. I drive it to work, run errands, go shopping, and almost every morning I take my kids to school. It’s a family car — and at the same time, a car I genuinely care about.
In this color, the X5 looks calm and expensive. Manhattan Green is a rare, deep shade that already sets the car apart from standard configurations. Still, over time I realized that even such an X5 can start blending into city traffic. And when a car is far from cheap and plays an important role in your family’s life, you want it to look the part — composed, confident, with character.

Why LARTE Design
Why LARTE Design
I wasn’t looking for radical tuning. To be honest, this whole topic wasn’t really close to me before. One day, while picking up my kids from school, I noticed that most parents were driving very similar family SUVs. And at that moment I thought it would be nice to add a bit of individuality to everyday routine.
It was important for me to keep the car practical: family comfort, city usability, proper ground clearance. At the same time, I wanted more visual identity and presence. I had seen LARTE Design projects before — their posts often appeared in my social media feed. That’s where my introduction to tuning started. After looking at several studios, LARTE’s approach felt the most relevant for an X5.
Alex contacted me by email after I left a request on the website. We immediately agreed not to overload the car. He suggested a solution that turned out to be perfect for my use case and as a first step: a carbon front splitter and a rear diffuser. Minimal changes, maximum effect.

How the car changed
How the car changed
After installation, the X5 started to look noticeably different. The front became visually lower and more confident, while the rear gained a sportier, more assertive look. Carbon works perfectly with Manhattan Green — it highlights the color and body lines without stealing attention. The car feels more premium and complete, without the impression of excessive modification.
The best part is the reaction around us. My kids say it’s easy to recognize our car at school. It stands out, and their classmates often ask what BMW model it is. For me, that matters — when a car brings joy not only to you, but also to the people who ride with you every day.
The X5 remains comfortable, practical, and family-friendly. But now it no longer disappears in traffic and reflects my attitude toward the things I choose. It’s a thoughtful upgrade that makes everyday driving just a bit more enjoyable.
