How I turned my X5M into something that truly reflects my taste
How I turned my X5M into something that truly reflects my taste
My name is Daniel. I live in the U.S. and run several businesses — from car washes to retail stores. Cars have always been a part of my lifestyle. I’ve done light tuning before: carbon here, a lowered suspension there. But this was my first big project.
My daily driver is a BMW X5M Competition F95, and I wanted it to look powerful — but not overdone. I went for a matte carbon finish, which works beautifully with the car’s glossy green exterior. The contrast is striking. I also have an M5 Competition in matte paint with gloss carbon — it’s like a mirror image. That contrast is my signature style.

Why I chose LARTE
Why I chose LARTE
It wasn’t a quick decision. I spent 4–5 months looking around, comparing kits. I checked out other companies too, but nothing looked as bold and dynamic as the body kit set for BMW X5 M competition F95 by LARTE Design. The lines, the sharp angles — it just had more depth.
I knew exactly what I wanted: a full kit, minus the hood and exhaust tips. I already had a custom exhaust installed — matte, to match the rest. And I skipped the hood because I didn’t want to lose that deep green color. A carbon hood would’ve made it too gray.

Installation and the result
Installation and the result
I had some concerns about installation — I’ve had bad experiences before with parts that didn’t hold up. But Olya from LARTE sent over detailed guidance on adhesive, tape, and all mounting points. I even asked the shop to use extra sealant just in case.
In the end, it went perfectly. The kit doesn’t feel like an add-on — it feels like the way the BMW X5M Competition F95 should’ve looked from the factory.
Was it expensive? Yes. But now I see why. Handcrafted carbon, premium materials — it’s not mass-market stuff. It’s an investment. Honestly, if you guys sent out small carbon samples to future buyers, it would probably make their decision much easier.
Now, every time I look at my car, I’m glad I went for it. And once the new M5 comes out — I know exactly where I’m going.
