I’m John, I serve in the U.S. military and I’m currently based in Germany. A few months ago, I bought a BMW X6 LCI in shadow grey. I liked the color from the start: calm, serious, and understated. At first, body kit installation wasn’t on my mind. But the more I drove it, the more I felt the shape could use a stronger edge, something that would match the way the car drives.

How I found LARTE Design
How I found LARTE Design
One evening, I came across a TikTok of an orange BMW X6 LCI styled by LARTE Design. The styling kit felt like a natural extension of the car’s character — nothing extra, just sharper, tougher, more athletic. That was exactly the effect I wanted: a car that doesn’t look overloaded, but still has presence.
When I reached out, my manager Elizabeth helped me sort out the options. At first, I thought about carbon fiber, but the more we discussed, the more it became clear for me: on a grey body, carbon would blend in too much. What I needed was contrast. That’s why I went with gloss black: splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser with integrated tips and stop lights.

Installation and result
Installation and result
I brought the car to the LARTE installation center in Düsseldorf. From the very first inspection, I was impressed by the quality of the parts: rich gloss, sharp lines, and solid, expressive shapes. When I came back to pick it up, I was stunned by how perfectly everything fit. No gaps, no adjustments — it felt as if I had just picked the car up from the factory.
The result was exactly what I had envisioned: the calm, refined grey body now emphasized by aggressive accents in black gloss. The contrast made the X6 look more muscular and confident, while keeping its premium, high-end presence.
Now my X6 reflects the character I always saw in it. Sometimes it’s the details that reveal the true personality of a car.
