How I turned my BMW X6M into something truly mine

My name is Bogdan, I live in Romania and manage a family-run agricultural and restaurant business. I’ve loved BMWs since getting my license at 18. My first was an X3 — then came an X5M, an X6, and now the X6M. I’ve always appreciated how BMW SUVs combine power, presence, and everyday usability.

Love Bogdan's Style?

From habit to signature

I first discovered LARTE in 2020. Their kits weren’t flashy, just bold and tasteful. I’ve since added their kits to three cars: the X5, the X6, and now the X6M. Each time, it felt right — not for show, but to match my own vision.

For the X6M, I didn’t wait. I ordered the body kit for BMW X6M F96 before even picking up the car. The stock version is powerful — but it needed a sharper, more personal look.

Design first

What won me over? Not just the look — though the BMW X6M custom styling is stunning. It’s the attention to detail: carbon fiber instead of plastic, strong geometry, aggressive shapes. No bland surfaces.

I love visual contrast, so I went with a deep green exterior and matte carbon accents. Even my Caterpillar machines are green — it’s kind of my color!

My dream ride — for now

The X6M is my daily driver. I also have a Huracán and an M4 Competition, but this car is the heart of my collection — bold, practical, and emotional. This time, I didn’t wrap it. The kit says it all.

Would I do it again? Definitely. I even joked with Elena — if LARTE makes a kit for the M4 or Huracán, I’ll be first in line. Customization has become a habit — a way to make each car truly mine.

Funny thing — I almost went for a Lamborghini Urus. But even tuned, it didn’t feel personal enough. The LARTE kit gave me something better: a unique style, without overpaying for a badge.

And yes — I just wanted it to feel unique — and it worked.
