The decision that made my GLS truly mine

My name is Martijn, I’m from the Netherlands, and I drive a white Mercedes-Benz GLS 63. It’s a powerful, status SUV — impressive, yes, but identical to dozens of other GLS models on the road. I wanted something that highlighted the AMG spirit and made the car feel truly personal.

After a long search, I submitted a request on the LARTE Design website. On the same day, I received a message from Alex, the manager. What I appreciated most was that he didn’t try to push a ready-made package. Instead, he asked questions — about my style, my preferences, and what mattered to me.

That’s how we arrived at the final configuration: a carbon fiber front splitter and a carbon rear diffuser.

The hood took me the longest to decide on. Did I really need it? Would it be too much? But once Alex showed me the references and explained how it would change the overall look, it became obvious. The carbon hood was the final detail that brought everything together — perfectly matching the rest of the kit.

The moment I saw the car after installation is something I’ll never forget. The contrast between the white body and the glossy carbon gave the GLS a powerful, commanding presence. The silhouette became wider, sharper, more confident — and the hood transformed it from “just a striking SUV” into a car you simply cannot forget.

I still catch myself slowing down every time I walk up to it. My colleagues say it now looks “grown-up.” To me, it finally looks exactly the way I wanted from day one.
