LARGENDA Becomes the World's First KBA-Certified Body Kit for the Lamborghini Urus

There is a certification that separates styling from engineering, and LARTE Design just secured it for the Lamborghini Urus. LARGENDA — the studio's dry-carbon body kit for the platform — has become the first exterior kit for the Urus anywhere in the world to hold Teiletypgenehmigung, a national type approval issued directly by Germany's Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), confirmed by testing body GTÜ Stuttgart.

No other Urus body kit on the market currently carries this. LARGENDA is the only one.

A Teiletypgenehmigung is not a marketing label. It is the same regulatory path a vehicle manufacturer itself has to follow before a car reaches the road — administered by the same federal authority, tested against the same standards. LARGENDA is tested to VdTÜV-Merkblatt 744 and ECE-R 26, with splinter behavior confirmed to DIN 52306 and pedestrian protection to UN-R127. Every component mounts to the Urus's factory attachment points, fully compatible with the plug-in hybrid system, parking sensors and driver-assistance technology. Once fitted, an inspector, an insurer or a future buyer can verify the kit's certification independently — not on LARTE Design's word, but on paperwork filed with the German government.

The build that carries this story into the world is a Lamborghini Urus Performante, finished in a bold yellow. When the car arrived for installation, LARTE's engineering team identified a precise fitment detail: the LARGENDA front splitter is engineered specifically around the Urus S front bumper profile.

The team's solution was direct — fit the Urus S front bumper as the base, then mount the complete front splitter architecture on top of it exactly as designed. The result is a Performante running the full, precision-fit LARGENDA front end, a sharper and more complete presence than the standard Performante bumper offers on its own.

LARGENDA is engineered around the specific geometry of the Urus, the Urus S and the Performante, so every variant has a precision fitment path rather than a one-size-fits-all approximation. What changes from one platform to the next is which factory components the kit builds from; what stays constant is the certification, the fitment standard, and the material underneath it — 100% dry carbon, cured to a Class-A surface finish.

This certification is the answer to a question the aftermarket world rarely gets asked directly: can a body kit be exactly as engineered as the car it's built for? For LARGENDA, the answer is now on file with the German government.
